The federal estate tax exemption amount has increased to $5,430,000 for 2015 and the estate tax rate remains at 40%. The gift tax exclusion amount remains at $14,000 per donee. The Oregon exemption amount remains at $1,000,000 and Washington's $2,000,000 exemption amount has also not changed.
